Sergei Prokofiev’s “Peter & the Wolf" is the most famous composition of classical music for children in the world today. Each character in this enchanting story is represented by an instrument of the Orchestra
It is the perfect way to introduce children to the Orchestra and a great holiday gift for the whole family. Combined with the familiar tunes from Aaron Copeland’s "Rodeo," The Orchestra of the Midlands will perform with Donald Portnoy, Conducting and Dr. Fred Andrea, Narrating. In addition, East Aiken School for the Arts teacher Carrie Power will illustrate the characters from “Peter & the Wolf” on stage right before your eyes! At the conclusion of the concert everyone is welcomed to the stage to meet the musicians and see the instruments.
